Sunday Nursery - Children Age 2 and Younger (we don't watch this closely)
Our nursery provides a safe and caring place for babies and toddlers where they can play or nap while their parents attend the 9:00 AM Sunday morning worship service. The nursery is available all year.
If you are a grandmother or grandfather, volunteering in the nursery is a perfect way to provide love and comfort to these precious little ones when your own grandchildren are far away.
Sunday School - Children Age 3 Through 5th Grade
Sunday School meets each Sunday from September through May. Bring your children downstairs where the children’s church service begins at 9:00 a.m., usually led by a pastor or chaplain, followed by activities in the Sunday School room. Children return to their parents in the sanctuary in time to share in Holy Communion.
By sharing stories that help children feel God’s love, children feel welcome and a part of our church family. Our children’s short service includes:
- Welcome time and candle lighting, followed by a moment of silence and a prayer
- Music and singing
- Interactive Story Time - based on Jesus’ teachings
- Prayers of the Children and a Blessing
After their service, the children proceed to the Sunday School room for play time with crafts and games related to the scripture for that day.
Volunteer Teachers and Assistants are Cherished!
You do not have to teach every week! You can be a part of a wonderful group of teachers who foster healthy, vibrant self-esteem in our young children. Our Sunday School room is lovely and cheerful with plenty of supplies, toys and books.
Sunday School Assistants are welcomed and appreciated. They can be adults or older children and teens who enjoy helping the teachers with the little ones.
Your Children’s Safety is Extremely Important To Us
To provide a safe space for your precious children, all volunteers in the nursery and Sunday School must submit to a background check and complete “Safe Haven” training.
